Scenario: Large Scale Structural Renovation with Active Tenant

3d Scanning was employed to obtain as built survey with minimally invasive demo while building was occupied with students. This allowed the steel subcontractor to obtain the necessary dimensions to fabricate steel and deliver it after demolition was complete, significantly accelerating the schedule. The general contractor was also able to use the 3d scan model to coordinate other trade work with existing conditions.

Texas Woman's University

Scenario: Large Scale Steel to Concrete Embed Construction

Scanned concrete superstructure and provided precise 3d location data for every embed and concrete opening to steel detailer. Empowered with this data, the fabricator and erector were able to split significant additional profit by installing approximately 2000 linear feet of facade support steel in frames vs field fabricating each piece on site. The additional speed of erection also saved over 3 weeks on the construction schedule.

Scenario: Roof Guardrail with Complex Geometry

3d Scanning was utilized to extract complex 2D Linework for CAD detailing of Roof Guardrail with Complex Geometry. High points and Low points were also surveyed to establish top of rail dimensions for code compliance.

Scenario: Structural Steel Retrofit to Old Structure

Provided scan to bim services to steel detailer for precise point cloud overlay with steel model. Provided Augmented Reality overlay in the field for coordination and sequencing structural steel with demolition trade.
